Rest In Peace Doujon Zammit

R.I.P. Doujon

Hundreds of mourners stood to applaud 20-year-old Doujon Zammit, who was beaten to death outside a nightclub in Greece.

Two weeks after the attack, family and friends are farewelling Mr Zammit at the service in Our Lady Of Victories Church in Horsley Park, which began at 10.30am (AEST).

Family and friends lined up to shower Mr Zammit with praise and express their anger at his tragic death.

Mr Zammit, from Cecil Hills, was described repeatedly as a fun-loving party-goer, caring, giving, unique and vibrant, by family and friends who spoke at today's funeral.

Doujon's uncle, Joe Zammit, said his nephew had befriended everyone and in turn was befriended by everyone.

He then called on the mourners to stand and applaud the young man's life.

For 30 seconds, that's what they did.

"Doujon was a very special young man. He gave so much warmth and expected nothing in return," Mr Zammit said.

It will be a very long journey without Doujon for his family and his friends and we are certain they will never find another Doujon.
