Has John McCain... shot himself in the foot?

John McCain has chosen the Governor of Alaska Sarah Louise Heath Palin as his V.P. Nominee.

Sarah Palin was born, February 11 in 1964, in Idaho and raised in Alaska.

She has served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council from 1992 to 1996, was elected mayor of Wasilla in 1996 and ran unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in 2002.

On December 2006 she became the Governor of Alaska, which has a population of 626.932 people.

She has no experience in national or international affairs.

In the 2000 Presidential Election, Sarah Palin supported Pat Buchanan for President instead of John McCain.

Palin is strongly pro-life, and belongs to Feminists for Life and she has five children.

Her second son, born just a few months ago, suffers from Down syndrome.

She hunts, eats moose hamburger, ice fishes, rides snowmobiles, and owns a float plane.

Palin holds a lifetime membership with the National Rifle Association.

She admits that she used marijuana when it was legal in Alaska, but says that she did not like it.

In high school she was known as Sarah Barracuda and she has worked as a journalist.

McCain and Palin... look like... the odd couple.

She is the second woman to run as a V.P. nominee, after Geraldine Ferraro when she was the V.P. nominee in the 1984 Presidential Election with Walter Mondale.
