In 1992 Michael Jackson founded the Heal the World Foundation.
Through this charitable foundation and during the Bosnian war Michael Jackson airlifted 46 tons of supplies to the city of Sarajevo.
He also paid for a new liver transplant unit in a Hungarian children's hospital.
He donated millions of dollars to children who are less fortunate.

When he suffered second degree burns to his scalp, he settled with the insurance company and the full payment of $1.5 million, went to create the Michael Jackson Burn Center in the Brotman Medical Center.
In 1984, he gave his $5 million share from the Victory Tour, to charities.
In 1985, he co-wrote the song We Are the World and the profits from the 20 million copies sold, went to charities in Africa and America.
