Barack Obama - Ορκίστηκε για Δεύτερη Φορά

Όπως είχαμε πει ο ανώτατος δικαστής τα θαλάσσωσε με τον όρκο του Προέδρου Barack Obama.
Έτσι λοιπόν θα άρχιζε ο χορός με τις αγωγές, ότι επειδή δεν ορκίστηκε σωστά, δεν είναι Πρόεδρος.

Ο ανώτατος δικαστής John Glover Roberts, Jr., θεώρησε ότι πρέπει να ορκίσει εκ νέου τον Barack Obama, μιά και το σφάλμα ήταν αποκλειστικά δικό του.
Κακώς βέβαια, διότι το Σύνταγμα της Αμερικής αναφέρει πως είτε με όρκο, είτε χωρίς όρκο, ο Πρόεδρος είναι Πρόεδρος στις 20 Ιανουαρίου, ακριβώς στις 12:00 το μεσημέρι, όπως θα το διαβάσετε παρακάτω.

Στη προκειμένη περίπτωση, ο Barack Obama, ήταν ήδη Πρόεδρος, όταν στις 12:05, ορκίστηκε επίσημα την πρώτη φορά.

Ο δεύτερος όρκος έγινε την Τετάρτη στο Map Room του Λευκού Οίκου, που βλέπετε στη φωτογραφία.

Barack Obama: I am, and we're going to do it very slowly.
I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Terms of president, vice president, senators, and representatives.

The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the twentieth day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the third day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.
